KiAnna Raine Colter is a free form artist, born and raised in the deserts of Arizona. Her artistic origins are in henna tattooing but she quickly began to work in acrylic painting as well. Colter’s artistic origins in henna are still alive in her practice and the idea of living canvases is a constant exploration for her. She creates on a variety of forms, such as wood, clay pottery, textiles, canvas and people. Her preferred mediums are acrylic paint, henna and other plant made stains or dyes.
